Course Overview
This qualification describes the skills and knowledge for supervisory job roles in the horticulture industry. Individuals with this qualification perform tasks involving technical skills and supervisory skills to operate, monitor and improve performance of horticultural systems and projects, and may supervise staff. This qualification applies to individuals with existing horticulture industry experience and technical skills and knowledge gained through training or employment specifically in the horticulture industry.

Whilst there are no entry requirements specified in the training package, VIVA Institute applies the following course entry criteria:
- Applicants must be minimum 18 years of age at the time of commencement; and
- Demonstrate the attainment of at least ACSF level 3 by successful completion of Australian Year 12 qualification, or equivalent; and, if overseas equivalent
- Minimum IELTS score of 5.5 or PTE score of 42
Alternatively, students may demonstrate LLN levels by undertaking VIVA Institute’s ASCF LLN Assessments.
Course Entry Requirements
Work

There are no vocational placement or work-based training requirements for this qualification. However, students will undertake training and assessment in a commercially operational horticultural business. Transportation for students and staff between the theory classroom campus to the workplace training facility will be arranged, and provided by, VIVA Institute.
